Staff Development Awards

To further the charitable work of the Consortium, the Trustees have an annual awards scheme for staff of Member libraries. 

In 2020-21 the call for applications for awards will take place at different points across the academic year. For further details and how to apply please see below. 


  • Three conference bursary awards of a maximum of £500 each to cover travel to, attendance at and accommodation for an appropriate conference*. Awards can also be used to attend virtual conferences.
  • One award of attendance at the equivalent of two full days of cpd25 training. 
  • One award of attendance at the equivalent of one full day of cpd25 training. 
  • Free attendance at the M25 Consortium Conference (number of available places to be confirmed in February 2021). 

2020-21 Call for applications 

The call for applications for the cpd25 training awards is now open. Two awards of the equivalent of two days and one-day training are available. Please use the same application form, making it clear which award you are applying for.

The deadline to receive applications is Monday 7 December.

Future opportunities: 

A total of three bursaries are available in the 2020-21 academic year. One bursary will be awarded from each call for applications. The calls for applications will take place in September 2020, January 2021 and March 2021. Each bursary is for up to a maximum of £500

The call for applications for free attendance at the M25 Annual Conference will open in February 2021.
