Learning 2.0 @LJMU – how to engage staff in Web 2.0 activity
Speaker: Leo Appleton, Head of Business and Planning for Library and Student Support at LJMU
CPD25 is very pleased to offer an afternoon workshop that will introduce attendees to a Web 2.0 staff development programme which has recently been developed for staff at Liverpool John Moores University.
At LJMU all library staff were asked to take part in an online staff development programme which would both introduce them to some emerging technologies (i.e. Web 2.0) and provide them with the student experience by requiring them to interact with the VLE and develop an e-portfolio.
Leo Appleton, Head of Business and Planning for Library and Student Support at LJMU, will present the LJMU case study and then invite those attending to take part in a workshop which will allow discussion and consideration about how delegates might apply Web 2.0 training with their own library staff.
This afternoon seminar will benefit Staff Development Officers and those staff who are involved with programming staff training.
