Supporting wellbeing as information professionals has never been more important. But what does supporting wellbeing actually look like in practice? How do we support wellbeing online as well as in person? What is the future of supporting wellbeing and just how much can we do? Speakers:

Alice Soares graduated in Modern Languages and has worked in Library Frontline Services, and a variety of Customer Service roles. In addition to this she coordinated an award-winning children’s Brazilian Portuguese Saturday supplementary school on a voluntary basis for a number of years. She’s currently a Library Customer Service Supervisor at Marylebone Library, University of Westminster, London

Joseph Dempster is a Library Assistant at the UCL Institute of Education Library, working within their customer services team for four years. Joseph has volunteered to be part of UCL’s Wellbeing Champion scheme since 2018.

Hilary Hallas: I’ve worked at the Library for just over 44 years in many different roles and departments. It‘s been great to have completely different roles without the upheaval of joining a new company, but of the many roles I’ve held this one is the most rewarding. Though I’ve only been in the role officially for just over a year I have had an interest in the Wellbeing of my colleagues for a number of years.
