Speakers at this event will explore the role of libraries in supporting open scholarship, outlining the context of open scholarship, open access and open data; libraries’ roles in advocacy, training, and in maintaining repositories, and the skills and experience needed to enter into this growing area. The event will include discussions about research funder mandates, REF2021, relationships within universities with academics and research offices, open access and research data management, and current trends in this area of work. This is intended as an introductory event for library workers who want to find out more about library support for open scholarship and research.

Cancellations less than one week before the event will be charged a 50% cancellation fee. In the event of a ‘no-show’ on the day, the full fee will be charged.
