This visit will be taking place in conjunction with an afternoon visit to the University of Essex Library.
Please also book onto this event if you would like to attend the whole day.

The UK Data Archive, based at the University of Essex, has been acquiring, curating and preserving data for over 50 years. As the lead organisation for the UK Data Service, they provide researchers with trusted support, quality training and access to the UK’s largest collection of social, economic and population data.  They work closely with the University of Essex library to deliver training and this is a great opportunity to discover resources and training available to support your researchers.

The visit will provide an introduction to the Service and data management followed by a tour of the Archive and server room. As an ISO27001 accredited secure facility this provides a rare chance to see behind closed doors and opportunity to network with people in your field.

Tea and coffee will be provided on arrival.

Bookings for visits are free of charge but are open to members of the M25 Consortium of Academic Libraries only.

To reserve a space please use our online booking form.

If subsequent to booking a place on a cpd25 visit you find that you are unable to attend, we ask that you let us know this as soon as possible. Cancellations received less than three working days before the event will be charged a £15 cancellation fee. In the event of a ‘no-show’ on the day, £25 will be charged.
