All libraries are continuously trying to improve access to course materials, whilst at the same time making sure items in high demand circulate effectively. Whilst more libraries are now also lending laptops or tablets.

Speakers from University of York and Imperial College will discuss their circulation policies and UCL will detail their approach to laptop loans. The event will include time at the end to ask questions, share ideas and problems.

14:00-14:30 – Circulation Policies at the University of York (Jackie Knowles, Head of Customer Services)

14:30-15:00 – Circulation Policies at the Imperial College, London (Theo Stubbs, Senior Library Assistant & Robin Peters, Senior Library Assistant)

15:00-15:30 – Break/Networking/Sharing information

15:30-16:00 – Managing Laptop Loans at University College London– Issues and Triumphs

16:00-16:30 – Q and A session with our speakers and questions to share with other attendees

16:30 – Close

Cost:

£85 for members and £130 for other institutions.

 

Cancellations less than one week before the event will be charged a 50% cancellation fee. In the event of a ‘no-show’ on the day, the full fee will be charged.
