Inclusive Tech Demo Days provide an opportunity for Disability Advisers and others who support disabled students to experience the technology most frequently recommended, with a focus on applications that are available free of charge. They are fun, friendly, interactive sessions.

This session will break into 4 sections with a selection of apps on Focus, Time Management, Notetaking/Organisation and Mental Health. The session will be a mix of presentation, group discussion, live demonstrations, and interactive activities.

A list of apps covered in the session will be provided in advance so attendees can download the apps before the session and participate in activities, all apps for these activities will be free to download.

Trainer:

Lizi Green, Administration Manager responsible for the running of the admin teams for DSA, Workplace assessments and AbilityNet’s free services. Lizi is a philosophy Graduate who started working at AbilityNet in 2016 as a member of the admin team and over the last 4 years has worked her way up through the levels of the team to become the manager. Lizi is passionate about assistive technology being widely available and easily accessible, so as part of her role she runs inclusive tech sessions showcasing free and low cost apps to help in education. In her free time she also volunteers with AbilityNet’s IT Can Help home visits.

Information for joining:

• This session is virtual and will run via Microsoft Teams. Once your booking has been confirmed, joining instructions will be emailed the day before the event.
• Electronic CPD attendance certificates can be provided on request. Please request via cpd25@london.ac.uk

Cancellations less than one week before the event will be charged a 50% cancellation fee. In the event of a ‘no-show’ on the day, the full fee will be charged.
