Virtual AGM: Steering Group Vacancies and Members’ Issues 

Save the date – Notice for M25 Representatives

The 2021 Annual General Meeting of the M25 Consortium of Academic Libraries, chaired by Matthew Lawson of Middlesex University will be taking place on Tuesday, 15 June 2021 at 10 am. The meeting will be held via the video conferencing platform, Zoom. This meeting is for Representatives of M25 Member Institutions.

We will circulate the AGM papers and zoom link two weeks in advance of the meeting giving members who are not able to attend the virtual meeting the opportunity to engage via a pre-circulated form. Votes received at the meeting and participation via the submission of forms received over email in advance of the meeting will both contribute to the quoracy of the 2021 AGM.

Steering Group vacancies 

At the AGM for 2021 we will be electing seven members of the Steering Group. The Steering Group elections arise from existing members having reached the end of their first or second term in office or existing vacancies from the prior year. Should we receive more nominations than positions available, then a vote will be held for all seven vacancies.

Re-elections:

Three of the Steering Group positions are currently filled by members who are eligible to stand for re-election.

Vacancies:

Two Steering Group members have reached the end of the second term in office and two positions are currently vacant. Therefore, we are looking for nominations to fill four vacancies. Should you wish to make a nomination for the vacant Steering Group positions, please note the following:

  • nominees should be the M25 Representative for their institution; they will need to be nominated and seconded by colleagues who are also M25 institutional Representatives;
  • if elections are necessary, these will be held at the Consortium AGM on Tuesday 15th June or by filling out the voting form in advance of the meeting;
  • the deadline for receipt of nominations is midday, 20th May 2021; completed and signed nomination forms (attached) must be submitted as an attachment to an email sent to M25 Secretary (m.wake@ucl.ac.uk).

Members’ Issues 

Any representatives with an item they wish to be included on the Agenda under Members’ Issues should notify the M25 Secretary in writing by email no later than midday, 20th May 2021. (Contact details as for vacancy nominations above).
