Job vacancy: Executive Manager
The M25 Consortium of Academic Libraries is seeking an Executive Manager to play a leading and proactive role in delivering the Consortium’s strategic objectives and services.

Salary: starting at £45,162 per annum
Employment type: Open ended
Hours per week: 35 hours per week
The successful candidate will engage with the wider Consortium, currently comprising 53 HE and scholarly research libraries within the London and South East region.
We are looking for a suitably experienced individual to work proactively with the Consortium’s Chair, Trustees and Steering Group to shape and implement the Consortium’s strategy and operational objectives. You will take forward initiatives and projects, promote the work and activities of the Consortium, and serve the Consortium membership by working through groups and projects and engaging with the membership at all levels. In your capacity as Executive Manager you will also lead and manage the Consortium’s support team staff.
To succeed in this role you will need to have a sound understanding of the current issues in the academic library sector. You will be a confident, friendly communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and encourage their engagement in the M25 Consortium’s programmes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own schedule and will need to set priorities within the Support Team and manage workloads accordingly to meet multiple deadlines. You will be adept and confident at working with minimal supervision.
The successful candidate will be expected to work with Consortium staff, library directors and other library staff. The ability to communicate, using various media, with a range of stakeholders is crucial to success in this role.
