Outcomes of 2018 AGM

Following the M25 Consortium’s AGM, held on Tuesday 24th April 2018, the following election results are announced:



Chair: Matthew Lawson (Middlesex University)

Secretary: Caroline Thomas (University of Surrey)

Treasurer: Catherine Phillpotts (London Metropolitan University)

cpd25 Chair: David Archer (London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine) – David was appointed in August last year, after an application and interview process, and the appointment was confirmed by the AGM, being the first General Meeting of the Consortium since then.


The Steering Group for 2018-19 is (bold denotes a new member):

Leo Appleton (Goldsmiths, University of London)

Robert Atkinson (Birkbeck, University of London)

Adjoa Boateng (The British Library)

Alison Chojna (London South Bank University)

Pat Christie (University of the Arts London)

Regina Everitt (SOAS)

Jonathan Lucas (St Mary’s University Twickenham)

Michelle Wake (UCL School of Pharmacy)

Catherine Walsh (University of Essex)


Other key outcomes of the AGM were:

  • the adoption of new Articles of Association for the Consortium
  • the approval of the budget and subscription model for the financial year beginning 1st August 2018
  • the election to Membership of the M25 Consortium for the Library of The National Archives. Their Representative will be Cliff van Dort.


Congratulations to all new Trustees and Steering Group members on their election, and welcome to TNA Library. The meeting also recorded its thanks to Helen Workman, who stepped down as Chair after four years’ service, and to Marcus Woolley and Susan Scorey who stepped down from the Steering Group at the end of their term of office.
