At St Mary's University College we are restructuring into six teams as follows: Customer Services Team This team will bring together first line support and we will be developing a general (not just Library and IT) student enquiry service. Software Development Team This new team will develop support for all of our enterprise systems, which are currently under supported. Learning Teaching & Research Support This team will bring together traditional library subject support with support for our VLE and basic IT skills. Desktop and Classroom Support This team will provide second line IT support and will bring together desktop support staff and multimedia specialists to strenghthen our support for teaching environments in particular. Network Team This team supports both the network infrastructure and the client management, which were previously separate. Content Management Team This brings together library aquisitions with hardware and software asset procurement and management. It also includes the management of our new staff and student institutional portals which are based on Sharepoint 2010 technology. St Mary's will be one of the first institutions to implement Sharepoint 2010. Jonathan Lucas has been appointed to the new role of Content Manager. St Mary's is also implementing Microsoft's Live@edu cloud based email service for students. Martin Scarrott Acting Director of Information Services and Systems
