The 2009-10 cpd25 programme of events & visits is continuing to go very well with a blend of both regular favourites and new ‘hot topics’. One new event coming up shortly after the Easter break is Employment Law on Thursday, 15th April and the organiser is aiming this course at line managers who would like to find out more about this subject. The workshop will be given by Philip Lott. Philip is a specialist and practitioner in Employment Law. His 'day job' is as Senior Solicitor to a major teachers' and lecturers' union - the Association of Teachers and Lecturers (ATL). His background is in local government and he has spent three years as a full-time legal adviser to a University. In recent years, he has designed and presented many lively and informative courses and training events for managers and HR staff in Further and Higher Education. For further details of his course please see here On Tuesday 27th April (9.30 - 4.30) and the afternoon of 4th May (1.30 - 4.30), a new management programme will be run, entitled New Managers Toolkit. Further details here On Friday, 30th April, the very popular cpd25 Senior Library Assistants Conference is taking place at Woburn House, Tavistock Square. Further details here Also, as we go to press we are on the verge of advertising a big conference on 24/7 opening, re-visiting this topic five years after the original cpd25 conference on this subject. The conference will be taking place on Friday, 21st May at the prestigious Royal College of Physicians, near Regents Park.
