Brunel University Library is pleased to announce that is joining the RFID brigade! Funding was received to purchase RFID at the end of June and we are now madly tagging to get through all our stock by the start of term. Purchasing RFID has also enabled us to remove our old architect-designed issue desk and replace it with a very modern circular reception desk, plus a curved help desk for the more detailed enquiries. We have also replaced our self-service machines and security gates and are looking at the options for replacing the Library turnstiles as well. September will see the book returns sorter arrive and be installed so fingers crossed that there are no major hitches and we hit the beginning of term without a hiccup.
