New-look InforM25 and User Interface Revisions

Following on from the successful launch of the new M25 Business and CPD25 websites earlier this year, a significant amount of work has been undertaken to update the InforM25 website to a similar standard. The new-look InforM25 was launched on November 20th and has a strong family resemblance to the existing M25 websites. The key changes to InforM25 are:

        • Adoption of the new M25 colour scheme
        • Different header graphics for each service element (Find-a-library, Union List of Serials, etc.)
        • New M25 map for Find-a-library and Search-catalogues
        • Clearly defined 'steps' to guide users through the searches
        • Greater consistency between the different user interfaces to aid user familiarity
        • New method for selecting subjects on Find-a-library
        • Completely revised FAQ pages

The new-look InforM25 operates from the same URLs as the previous service. New promotional literature is being prepared and M25 members will be kept fully informed when they become available.

Independent of the above work, the M25 Systems Team have just started work on a mini-project to revise the M25 subject list to better describe M25 Consortium library collections. Over the next few weeks there will be a number of communications regarding suggestions for revising the list and then later, invitations to edit the subjects associated with the M25 libraries.
