The Systems Team has considerable experience and expertise in resource discovery and particularly knowledge of:

• Z39.50 and its implementation on many popular library systems
• the Bath Profile
• union catalogues and related issues
• user interface design

The Team's expertise in Z39.50 has led to involvement in a number of different projects and also to carrying out consultancy for non-HE organisations. An example of this is acting as technical consultants for the Whats in London's Libraries Service that is available and run by the London Libraries Development Agency.
