M25 Annual General Meeting 2007

Set in the beautifully scenic and historic campus of the University of Greenwich. this year's Annual General Meeting of the M25 Consortium was one to be remembered. For early June the weather was unexpectedly glorious, the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, yet conducive to thought and its interactive style got members talking about the future of the Consortium. For some members of the Steering Group including the Chair of the Consortium and the Chair of cpd25 it meant the end of an era and for others, the beginning of great possibilities for the Consortium.

The morning session began with presentations from two recent new members - sharing with the members what being a part of the Consortium meant to them. Helen Workman spoke from the point of view of the Oxford Brookes University, while Julie Brittain gave her perspective from the Institute of Development Studies. Members welcomed the opportunity to hear first hand about the diversity of some of its members. These presentations were followed by five breakout sessions geared to getting the members collaborating about different aspects of the Consortium.

The business meeting followed after the lunch break which included the installation of new officers to the Steering Group. Nick Bevan was announced the new Chair of the Consortium and Mary Nixon the new Chair of cpd25.
