Are you ready for any contingency? Find out at the annual M25 Disaster Management Group Exchange of Experience seminar, to be held on 30 November 2006. Recently, the M25 Disaster Management Group has been preparing new content for the M25 Disaster Control Plan template (http://www.m25lib.ac.uk/m25dcp/), on business and service continuity planning. This is in response to demand from Consortium members and the new text, shortly to be launched, will be a significant enhancement to existing content on reaction to and recovery from events such as fire and flood. We are also taking the opportunity, at the forthcoming annual Exchange of Experience seminar, to test our readiness to deliver services to our user communities in the aftermath of a library disaster. The annual Exchange of Experience seminar is for disaster control planning representatives in M25 Consortium member libraries and will take place on the afternoon of Thursday 30 November 2006, at Senate House Library, University of London. The programme is designed to be highly participative and the scenario exercises will be facilitated by Mary Auckland, independent consultant and former Director of Libraries at the University of the Arts London.
