Collaboration and Partnership
Computer clusterThe Consortium actively seeks and develops partnerships with other organisations within the region. We have strategic links with a number of cross-sectoral and cross-domain organisations for mutual benefit. The Consortium also acts as a focal point for the delivery of national initiatives within the region.

The Consortium is a subscribing member of the London Libraries Development Agency (LLDA) which is developing a co-ordinated, strategic vision for information services across London. http://www.llda.org.uk. We also support the work of Archives, Libraries and Museums London, a partnership which promotes co-operation between museums, archives and libraries in the region. http://www.lmal.org.uk

The Consortium has ongoing links with the Association of London Chief Librarians who represent the public libraries in the region. There is reciprocal attendance at meetings and other regular discussions that have led, for example, to the Learners and Libraries in London scheme mentioned above.

We are also seeking to develop links with further education libraries and the Learning and Skills Councils, the NHS and the libraries of learned societies and government departments.

The Consortium is keen to support the work and agenda of the London Higher Education Consortium, the London Development Agency and the Greater London Authority's cultural strategy for London, currently under discussion. We also engage with the work of the London Metropolitan Network ( http://www.lmn.net.uk) and LondonConnects which is helping to drive forward the e-government agenda for the London Boroughs.
