The M25 Consortium of Academic Libraries is a collaborative organisation that works to improve library and information services within the M25 region and more widely across the East and Southeast.

The Consortium now has 53 member institutions. Its aim is to provide services and resources for the benefit of library staff, learners and researchers.

News: M25 Consortium publishes new sponsorship policy

There are various events during the year that can be supported by sponsorship. Companies such as publishers, suppliers of library management systems, security systems, reading lists, etc are encouraged to get involved and engage with our 50+ member libraries.

Benefits of Membership

  • cpd25

    The Consortium’s staff training and development programme provides a variety of training events that cover the diverse aspects of library and information service provision.

  • Search25

    The Search25 tool allows users to simultaneously cross search the catalogues of most M25 Consortium libraries with access to live holdings information.

  • Access25

    Access25 is a mutual access scheme for the benefit of postgraduate research students and staff in libraries belonging to the M25 Consortium of Academic Libraries.

  • Disaster Recovery

    The Consortium has three main resources for its members in this area: a Mutual Support agreement, an IT Preparedness template and a Disaster Control Plan template.

  • Participation in Groups

    Being an M25 Consortium member allows the library’s staff to stand for positions on the main governing Steering Group and its other Working Groups and Task Groups.

  • Consortium events

    In addition to the training events provided through the cpd25 programme, the M25 Consortium holds a number of events throughout the year when members come together.

cpd25 aims to:

  • provide staff development and training for all levels of library staff
  • provide value for money training services for all consortium libraries
  • foster good practice amongst members and to facilitate the exchange of experience

The Members’ Area is a new online resource for every member of staff in M25 Consortium libraries.
